week 22: 9th feb

critical studies was cancelled, thankgod! no more ice skating to college!

and so begins wrestling with photoshop. kitson helped me get started and i managed to remember how to put fabric into specific areas on my people and rename the layers! an error i previously encountered..

my laptop nearly overheated and crashed while i was doing it, i think proving how bloody long it takes me!! made a good start on it though.

the black and white image is what i started with in photoshop.

tues spent the morning finishing my final line-up and getting it printed out with all the relvant info on it, all thats needed now is the fabric swatches on it.

IM ACTUALLY SO PROUD OF MY PHOTOSHOPPED FINAL LINE-UP!!

using photoshop finally cliked in my brain and i vaguely understand the bits i need of it now :)

i then moved onto my market levels and got them all done on photoshop. i had to leave them to the last minute to put pressure on myself to actually do them!! i had all the photos etc just zero motivation. but i finally got them done.

printed them all off and left college at half7, officially the latest ive stayed til! went home, ate, watched some tv and then sorted my work out, punched holes in it and bound it all together. only had one drama when i broke the hole punch! oli fixed it thankgod. had a minor panic that id forgotten something important but finally handed it in on time!

after the hand in i stayed at college a while to sort my rearch out for thrusday seeing as that had taken a back seat whilst container culture was being finished. research for fashion, art and culture was about the club kids of the late 80s and early 90s as ive recently seen party monster and loved it. the colours and everything in it are brilliant! i also got alot of inspiration from leigh bowery who has always intrigued me. tried to watch a documentary on it on the bbc website but its been taken down. bad times. had a crit with sue and ian though, which went well, and this project is now beginning to make sense to me, i was a bit hazy beforehand.
