week 28

I can't remember if i went to my ppd1 thing or not on monday?! i will assume i went. my memory is TERRIBLE. it might have been the presentation lesson? i think it was. we did a tragic one about critical studies.. very difficult as i dont actually know why we do critical studies so our presentation was a bit of a joke.

had my fabric manipulation thing on tuesday which i was looking forward to. playing with wax and the heat press was fun, managed to make some good samples i think but im finding it difficult to think how they would work into my research to do with metamorphasis. i guess starting that project would probably provide some links! i havent started that project yet, my critical studies essay is the priority right now seeing as weve been given a months extension for the FAC brief. didnt really want an extension because now im going to ignore that work for even longer over easter! need to get back into that projetc as ive really lost momentum with it.

wednesday i forgot to go to my tutorial, not been a good week for remebering to do things. had my photography induction in the afternoon though which was well fun! the photo man (andy i think his name is) was very helpful and showed us how to use the cameras properly. i think its for the best he told us how expensive the cameras are AFTER we used them!! managed to take some good photos i think. we just had fun and messed around and took photos, theyre fun. knowing the settings in the camera is going to be useful for the final outcome for the FAC brief.

booked the photo studio out for friday to do charlotte mendhams photo of her apron. charlotte kitson did hers too, was difficult getting the lighting right. i want to do my photo in context rather than in the studio. studio photography i think is very difficult and white backgrounds are soemtiems useful but i think i would prefer a proper background for my final photo. below is my favourite photos of charlotte mendhams.

had to say goodbye to katherine, mendham and georgy.. the troops are leaving me! going to be a lonely-ish weekend..
