pattern making..

Made my first pattern today!

It was surprisingly successful seeing as i was dreading it and i have a strong dislike for numbers and anything remotely mathematical.

Turned out to be quite fun, and actually doing it right made me feel less frustrated than i expected about such a long and precise process.

This week i also started playing around with different media on a doodle of a face, the image was copied from Mario Testino's book, "Any Objections?". It's just a rough play around with plastic and permanent marker, paint, water and stitching into it afterwards to enhance the lines. The photo isn't the greatest quality so it's hard to see small detail, such as sticthing.
