week 20: 26th jan

mild panic begins!!
got shown a previous project from someone last year and the amount of work is actually insane! about 3 times what ive got so far so really need to get my arse in gear! i think it shocked people into realising what we need to be doing though which was good.

got shown a design development presentation, very helpful seeing the use of templates etc but actually getting into the swing of them took me a while as i needed to realise that i was no longer doing illustrations. need to get the ideas down mroe quickly, rather than looking immaculate.

need to finish some research but that should be ok, i like where my research has gone from slavery into other directions. had a crit with angie and need to sort out what shop im designing for, im going to design for all saints, and i need to do some research from the website and see what sort of stuff is typical of their designs.

had our CAD workshop which was actually really helpful?! and was an hour max. thankgod! i actually managed to retain some useful information about putting fabric into my scanned drawings. so useful!
