October a little bit.

Off to Dewsbury with my CDG group to do some fabric sourcing as a group.. as expected Grace didnt turn up. The excitement of it being a group project is already starting to wear off.. 2 out of 4 actually doing the work and trying to push it forward is nowhere near enough. The first week or so was fine, attendance was alright, and now it has severely nosedived. Hmm.

FOUND MY FAVOURITE FABRIC SO FAR IN LIFE THOUGH.
waterproof rip-stop nylon.
I seem to have a real thing for waterproof fabrics. Worrying?

Got given another group project brief, Business and Enterprise. Nothing to really work on yet, the deadlines too far away for my brain to consider working on it yet! We need to start finding some work experience though, which is going alright.. Steve in the paperscissorstone pop-up shop gave me his email address and told me to email him about work experience.. as of yet, no reply. At least its a start in the right direction! Spoke to Ollie Munden about doing some work experience with his graphics company aswell, theyre work with photoshop is amazing and my skills definately need to be improved! He works for Mcfaul studios.

I am worried about my CV though. Work experience is alright, job experience not so much. Need to work on that some more!! Im hoping we dont get too many briefs thrown at us after this business one and the CDG one. CDG is looking like its going to be enough to do let alone anything else.

Design development is coming along slowly, I dont feel like I have as many designs as when I last did this, but I think the designs fit together as a collection well.

I have never done flat drawing before and I found it useful/interesting to learn how to do them. They enhance my illustrative style of designing but alone I think they look a bit dull.

I needed a break from doing college work, so I did some doodles/illustrations for some of Ed's photos from our holiday in Menorca. The drawings actually ended up ion my research for this project, but I just did them for fun. I feel I need to practise my illustration some more, my drawing skills are a bit ropey!
